05.01.2008George Roth, President and CEO of Recognos, Inc. a Silicon Valley based software developer, announced today the formation of a new venture - Recognos Financial LLC. Recognos Financial will provide specialized market data, custom software /application development services, and operational support for data tagging, formatting and cleansing. Recognos Financial is a collaborative venture between Recognos and Joe Carvalhido and Luis Baez, the original founders of Xcitek Inc., a well known and highly regarded award winning market data vendor whose assets were acquired by Interactive Data Corporation in 2007. Mr. Roth said, "bringing together data, technology, and services is a natural for the financial services industry particularly in light of the emerging semantic technologies that provide far greater meaning and insight into data of all types. Combining our technical skills with the data expertise of Joe Carvalhido and Luis Baez provides the basis for the next generation of data providers in terms of new data products, how they are distributed, and how they are used by clients. During May, National Directory Information Services (NDIS) has delivered a Sales Force Automation tool that automatically enters new leads and voice notes into Salesforce.com (R) from a user's cell phone. This month NDIS also provided a hosted IVR, Call Capture, and extension routing service to record and direct incoming calls for a major real estate/mortgage broker ad campaign.
